Founded in Calella, in 1860 by D. Juan Gallostra Rosell. In 1935 our name became T. Saula Vda. Gallostra. In 1960 we became a limited company with capital of 250,000 pesetas (1,502.53 €) under the name GALLOSTRA S.L.

In 1964 our capital increased to 3.000.000 pesetas (18.030,36 €) and we became a Sociedad Anónima under the name GALLOSTRA S.A . At this time our premises were in Calella , they measured 1.270 m2 and a workforce of 48 people produced 576.000 pairs per year.

En 1972 se amplía el capital escriturado a 17.500.000,- pesetas (105.177,11 €) produciéndose 180.000 docenas/año con 90 empleados. En Mayo de 1974, la Industria se amplía y traslada a las naves de nueva construcción situadas en la zona Industrial de la vecina población de Pineda de mar, ocupando 15.000 m2. En 1977 se efectúa ampliación de capital hasta 64.500.000,- pesetas (387.652,80 €).

In the last decade we have renewed all of our production machinery and all our control systems have been computerised. Production has surpassed 12 million pairs per year with a workforce of 200. The new generation is developing and investment plan to renew the installations and to expand the activity to foreign markets.
